The planets

This section covers the bodies a natal chart reads: the two luminaries, the Sun and the Moon, the personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars), Jupiter and Saturn, then Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, the transpersonal planets. Next come the points that complete the portrait: the two lunar Nodes, Chiron, Lilith, the four major asteroids (Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta) and the Part of Fortune, a calculated point inherited from the Hellenistic lots.

Each body is read through three questions: what function it carries, in which sign it expresses itself, in which house it acts. Follow the order of the entries, from the Sun to the calculated points: you move from what structures your character to what nuances it. The planet entries close with their domiciles and dignities, then with retrograde motion for those that can move backwards.

In your AstralPro natal report, each body has its own row in the positions table: degree and minute, sign, house, dignity, and the ℞ symbol if it was retrograde at your birth. Fourteen points receive a portrait in chapter I, and the asteroids are not among them: each one is read in a single life domain of chapter IV, Ceres in Family & roots, Pallas in Mind & learning, Juno in Love life, Vesta in Professional life.
